Day 8: Al Dente

Katie Glyer

My craniosacral teacher once said, when asked whether you really need to floss all your teeth each day, "No, only the ones you want to keep."

Day 8.png

While you may or may not realize it, your teeth reflect so much of the health of your body, mind, and soul. They reflect the state of your jaw, your pelvic floor, your neck + shoulders. They tell you how you're using your voice, or if you're not.

Your teeth give you insight into your dreambody and your Underworld.

And the way you tend to your teeth says a lot about the way you’re relating to your body. Each tooth is its own individual bone.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Each tooth has its own story, its own trauma, its own wave of movement, its own energetic imprint. Each tooth will tell you something different and will have its own way of unwinding.

So today, linger with your teeth. Devote a bit more time than normal to caring for these bones that have their own unique history

What is it like to lovingly floss each tooth without hurriedly jamming the dental floss in between them?

Perhaps during your meditation touch each tooth with your tongue, pausing when you come to a tooth that feels every so slightly different.

Without the intention of changing or "fixing" anything, shine the light of awareness on each and every tooth. Just for today. And maybe tomorrow too.
